The two photos below were taken at a recent Youth Section indoor training session in which ACC’s junior members were joined by Nottinghamshire CCC players Samit Patel and Matthew Wood. The top group photo shows the older age groups, the below photo the younger group.

Attenborough CC’s Saturday 1st XI were crowned Popkess Cup champions on September 9th, defeating Carrington Caribs by 7 wickets at the ground of Kinoulton CC. Fielding first, they dismissed the opposition for just 103 within 30 overs. Man of the match Martin Rayner took 4 for 20, with other wickets shared between Dom Harvey, Sam Clulow, Spike Turner, Chris Allcoat and captain Andy Simkiss. Wicket keeper Joe Gates took two good catches and a stumping. In reply, the ’Boro’ reached their target with 20 overs to spare, Chris Allcoat scoring 24 and Alec McKinley finishing not out on 52. Club veteran Mick Aplin smashed a six to score the winning runs. A great day for everybody and well done Attenborough!
